Fire Fox is a non- profit web browser that has always looked out for the users and not for their wallets. They have researched how to serve and protect their customers by looking at such small details as in what buttons the users use the most. Or what viruses and hackers are out there. Fire Fox does not seem to be focusing on how to look the coolest but how to be the most users friendly. With the Fire Fox version 2.0 there were Over 1.6 million downloads the very day of release. So expectations were pretty high for the June 17th release of their 3.0 version. Fire fox was attempting to set a world record for most downloads in a day. With the assured speed and basic design making it faster and easier this should have been an easy accomplishment. Fire fox seems to be targeting online hackers to make sure that the average person does not have to worry about advanced security methods. They have new address bars that make searching easier and they have a device that will notify you on the illegitimacy of a website.

Internet Explorer is about to release their newest titled IE8 which is supposed surpass the Firefox browser. The PR department for internet explorer has explained that this version is now faster and easier to use. This aspect was stressed due to Internet Explorers poor performance in comparison to its competitors for its past few years. Over the past years IE’s stocks have been decreasing bit by bit. It wasn’t until last year IE had some bad news. IE’s stock had gone under 70% for the first time ever. In order to boost IE’s demand they have worked on security and user friendly buttons.  IE also has added little web bots to help search the web for your demands. The pages refresh automatically to try to make sure that you are looking at the most recent additions to the web. IE8 is produced in hope to bring back the users who have left to Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.  IE8 has web slices that constant web slices that constantly keeps users informed on their stock, eBay auctions, and the weather.

Both of these browsers seem quite similar to me. I think what users are most attracted to be the speed of a page and how easy it is to get what you want off the page. As long as these browsers progressively get faster and easier than people will stay dedicated. Something about people is usually that they are subscribers. They find something that works and most likely stick with it. Just like brand dedication for apple users whatever apple puts out they get. So once you lose a customer to for example Firefox then most likely you have lost them for life. Also people do what their friends and family do. So if a couple of people notice and enjoy a browser their friends and family will most likely join. Hopefully Internet Explorer can do something dramatic to steal their customers back and continuously progress so that their users stay.
